DHarts Rudolph

DHarts Rudolph (F3)

DOB: January 1, 2012
TMGR BL00154AM (American)
MDGA AML02368 (American)

Rudy's sire, Sweetbrier Ridge Dagwood, has littermate sisters I have long admired for their lovely conformation, well attached udders, excellent teat size, heavy production, remarkable lactation persistence, and ease of kidding.  One of them, Sweetbrier Ridge Calla Lily, peaked at a gallon a day in her first freshening and milked through two seasons.

Rudy's dam, Moonstone CP Mangia, is a complete outcross, so Rudy brings welcome genetic diversity to our breeding program.  Mangia has a lovely, high and very wide rear udder and excellent teat placement, along with very impressive production and a wonderful, mellow temperament.  Rudy himself has tremendous width, with one of the nicest escutcheon areas I've seen on a buck and sharp, tight shoulders.  I'm anxious to see how his genetics blend with ours.
